A local of coastal Victoria, British Columbia, I grew up surrounded by the ocean and was naturally drawn to the water, often spending my time enjoying the island’s many beautiful lakes. Water-based sports were a significant part of my youth, particularly water polo, which I played in Saanich for several years. These formative years instilled in me a strong sense of teamwork and an appreciation for fitness, laying the foundation for my current role as a Kinesiologist.
Before pursuing my academic interests in kinesiology, I embarked on a diverse career in the entertainment and fashion industry. I appeared in Hallmark movies, led YouTube commercials, and modeled in various runway shows across Victoria. This unique experience enriched my creativity and adaptability, qualities that I continue to value in my professional life.
In December 2023, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Victoria, which deepened my understanding of the human body and its potential for movement and wellness. While completing my undergraduate studies, I worked as a deckhand in the commercial fishing industry, exploring some of the most pristine and remote coastal regions of British Columbia. This experience not only instilled a strong work ethic but also a profound appreciation for the natural beauty and diversity of our environment.
As an Allied Health Professional, my primary objective is to provide unparalleled care to my clients. I tailor my approach to meet each individual’s unique needs, helping them achieve their personal goals. I believe in empowering my clients with the tools and resources necessary to support them on their journey toward independence and wellness.
Outside of work, I stay active through boxing, cycling, running, swimming, and squash. I also engage in creative pursuits such as music and sculpting.

Rachel’s passion for sports, fitness, and healthcare developed in Vancouver, BC, while
competing as a national-level gymnast. Her interests led her to pursue a Bachelor of Medical
Sciences at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
During this time, Rachel fell in love with bouldering and the rock-climbing community. A few
years into her climbing pursuits, she sustained a severe shoulder injury requiring surgery and an
extensive recovery process. Experiencing firsthand the impact physiotherapy can have on an
athlete, both physically and mentally after an injury, inspired her to pursue it as her career.
Rachel obtained her Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2023. She
combines personal athletic experiences as a gymnast, climber, and runner with evidence-based
treatment strategies to provide individualized, collaborative, and patient-centered care tailored to
meet each person’s unique goals. Rachel is passionate about helping all patients, with a special
interest in supporting rock climbers, runners, and other athletes return to their sports.
